Good cleaning is

For founder Mohamed, cleaning was a way of looking after people long before it became a business. Great Job brings that personal standard to commercial spaces across New York City.
01 Our roots
Before it was a business, it was a responsibility.
Mohamed grew up in an immigrant family where keeping a clean home was part of taking care of one another.
His family lived with severe dust allergies, so cleaning was never just about appearances. It was a responsibility they shared and a standard they took seriously. A room could look tidy and still need attention. The details mattered because the people living there mattered.
That upbringing taught Mohamed practical cleaning skills, but it also shaped something more lasting: his belief that the condition of a space affects how people feel in it. He carried that belief with him into his working life, long before he founded Great Job Cleaning Services.
02 Why we started
The standard he knew at home was missing at work.
While working in Fortune 50 companies, Mohamed saw commercial spaces that fell short of the cleaning standards he had grown up with.
Conversations with business owners revealed a familiar pattern: missed details, inconsistent results, poor communication and too little accountability when something went wrong. Some cleaning companies started strong, only for the standard to slip over time.
For the person responsible for the facility, that meant more than an untidy space. It meant complaints to handle, questions to chase and another responsibility competing for attention.
Mohamed started Great Job to offer a different kind of cleaning relationship. His aim was to bring a more modern approach to the industry, with accountability, consistency and clear communication at its center. Not simply a better first clean, but a standard worth maintaining.
03 What drives us
A cleaner facility should make someone’s day better.
The most rewarding part for Mohamed is seeing how people respond when the standard of cleanliness improves.
It is the business owner who notices the difference, the employee who feels better coming to work, or the customer walking into a space that feels cared for. Those reactions are what keep him pushing for a higher standard.
Today, Great Job is a family-owned, insured commercial cleaning company serving all five New York City boroughs, with a particular focus on Queens. Recurring janitorial care is at the heart of the business, supported by deep cleaning, floor and carpet care, and window cleaning.
Offices, medical offices and gyms are a core focus. Warehouses, retail spaces and other commercial facilities are part of the picture too. What connects them is the need for a dependable cleaning partner who takes their space seriously.
